Terms & Conditions

Drive Better Academy reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes to these Terms & Conditions will take effect immediately and the student shall be notified.

Tuition is only available to persons who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 17 or over
  • Holds a valid UK Provisional Licence
  • Legally entitled to drive in the UK
  1. Lessons
  2. The student and Instructor are responsible for agreeing all matters relating to the timing, location and duration of all lessons.

    It is the responsibility of the student to notify the Instructor of any matters which affects his/her ability to undertake the scheduled driving tuition.

  3. Cancellation Policy
  4. If the student or the Instructor wish to cancel a lesson, a minimum of 48 hours prior notice should be given. If the Instructor cancels a lesson without giving the minimum notice period, the Instructor will rearrange the lesson. If the student does not give 48 hour’s notice, Drive Better Academy reserves the right to charge the student for the missed lesson.

  5. Payments
  6. Payments(s) must be paid and received by Drive Better Academy at least 48 hours before the start of the lesson. The following methods of payments can be used:

    • Credit or debit card online
    • Payment by cash, in the car prior to your next lesson. The Instructor will provide a receipt.
  7. Refund Policy
  8. Students are entitled to cancel prepaid tuition at any time (please refer to Cancellation Policy).

    If the student has taken lesson(s) at the time of cancellation, the student will not be eligible for a refund on a lesson taken.

    Where possible, Drive Better Academy will refund the student using the same method of payment used to book the lesson.

    Any block booking(s) not fulfilled within 1 year of the initial payment may be lost.

  9. Test Bookings
  10. The Instructor will undertake an assessment lesson prior to the student’s test. If, in the opinion of the Instructor, the student is not at the standard to take the test, the Instructor has the right to withdraw the use of their tuition vehicle for the day.

  11. Complaints
  12. In the event of any concerns or complaints concerning any aspect of the students driving tuition, notification should be sent via email to contact@driverbetter.co.uk. Drive Better Academy will endeavour to resolve the matter within 14 working days (excluding public holidays).
